Celebrating Apprenticeships Week 2024

This week we are celebrating Apprenticeships Week 2024 and reflecting on the value, benefit and opportunity that apprentices bring to our team here at Structec.

We are committed to investing in our future and believe that by continuing to offer a variety of apprenticeships, we are guiding individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and as an inclusive employer we are developing a workforce with future ready skills.

Unfortunately, Knowsley is one of the most deprived areas in country and with this is mind Structec believe that where possible, we need to make opportunities available for the young people of the area in terms of apprenticeships.

"Seeing the journey of an apprentice is one of the most satisfying activities in our business",

comments Steve Davies, Managing Director. "Many young people are successful in being given a place on our apprenticeship placement and arrive with us relatively shy and reserved, some lack confidence and a sense of purpose in the workplace. However as we mentor these young people and empower them with skills for life, they blossom and thrive at Structec becoming a truly valuable member of the team . I have to give credit to our fantastic mentors within the business who work with these individuals on a daily basis, teaching them skills that will develop them further".
