Recruitment
Structec aims to promote apprenticeships and employment in the construction industry in the areas in which we operate, and therefore recruits locally wherever possible. We attend Job Fairs and Employment Open Days to attract individuals into construction, and have taken part in programmes such as the “Get Oldham Working” initiative. Furthermore, we engage with our local Community School to provide periodic careers talks on our commitment to apprenticeships and work placements in the building sector.
Equal Opportunities
Structec has an Equal Opportunity Policy which states our obligation to recruit applicants from a diverse group and background, including those from households without a history of employment in the building industry. This Policy reflects our affinity to our local area, the need for gender equality and the high level of disadvantage young people experience in entering the world of work. Furthermore, it demonstrates our commitment to Equality and Diversity as a company, reflecting our core values and strong stance against all forms of discrimination.
