Structec supports international aid project in Uganda

Halton Housing Trust provides their employees with the opportunity to volunteer with a school renovation project in Uganda. Staff from the Trust spent three weeks in the village of Fort Portal as part of the One Brick at a Time scheme, a project that the Trust has been part of for four years.

Steve Davies, the Managing Director of Structec was pleased to be invited to support the project with much needed equipment, tools and resources to support the construction apprentices in their practical work experience.

Despite working in 30+ degree heat, 28 construction students from various colleges in the local area help refurbish the village school and improve and modernise the learning environment.

The pictures below show the students in High Visibility PPE clothing donated by Structec as they work on the exterior refurbishment of the school supported by volunteers from the Halton Housing Trust.
