Structec is pleased to announce that John Maddox joins the management team as the new Operations Manager. John brings with him over thirty years’ experience in construction, predominantly in Social Housing delivering repairs, maintenance and strategic asset management.
Involved in the transfer of Halton Borough Council’s housing stock to Halton Housing Trust in 2005, he played a major instrumental role in transforming the Direct Labour Organisation into what is now a top performing and leading provider of repairs and maintenance services in the housing sector.
As Maintenance Manager for Halton housing Trust John was responsible for the responsive repairs, voids, adaptations and environmental services for almost 7,000 homes.
Feeling determined and passionate about his new position, John said
"This is an exciting opportunity to be joining an established leading contractor such as Structec. I look forward to embracing the new challenges and goals that the role presents. I am committed to supporting our clients, customers and residents of the community and to delivering high quality, value for money services. I am also a keen advocate of creating career opportunities both through training and apprenticeship programmes and through the promotion of development opportunities for all colleagues through a range of initiatives."
Alongside with his professional career, John has worked with a number of charitable organisations, including his appointment as a Trustee for the Citizens Advice Bureau and was actively involved in a skills exchange project (OBAAT) in Uganda for five years.
