Declan Hopkins, a work experience placement from local training provider Sysco has been taken on as a new entrant to the construction industry, specialising in maintenance and repair.
Declan from Huyton, has demonstrated a great deal of commitment and enthusiasm to his work colleagues ever since he joined on his temporary placement, to understand the world of work and the building sector.
Structec rewarded Declan’s dedication by offering him a place on their 2014 Apprentice Programme in-take. He will be undertaking an NVQ Apprenticeship in Construction, Building, Maintenance & Repair and he will gain his qualifications at Knowsley Community College.
Tony Knox, the Contracts Manager at Structec stated that
"Declan instantly demonstrated a dedication to his work and a commitment to show others that he had the potential and ability to be a multi-trade craftsman. Despite the short time at Structec, I was only too pleased to recommend him to the Managing Director as a potential local candidate for our apprentice intake for 2014."
Geoff Davies, The Quality and Performance Manager is pictured welcoming Declan to the Company and congratulating him on his efforts to make the apprentice intake for this year based on his short work trial.
