On 28th April, Structec took part in a Charity Golf Day hosted by the Mayor of Knowsley, Frank Walsh. Frank first became a Councillor in 2008, and since then has worked tirelessly for the community of Knowsley and its people. The day proved a huge success, with Structec along with several other local companies sponsoring the event, raising in excess of £700.
All of the proceeds were donated to the two local charities which were chosen by the Mayor himself. The Big Help Project, whom Structec have supported on many occasions, provide those who are struggling with poverty with services such as the Knowsley Foodbank, Jubilee Debt Advice, Next Steps, Get Connected and Baby Basics. The second charity who received a donation were Knowsley Bridge – Imagine Independence, who work with people with mental health issues and other challenges, in order that they can live a full and independent life.
Structec are always delighted to be able to give back to the community in which it operates. Managing Director Steve Davies commented:
"It was a great day for all concerned. Our thanks go to Frank for organising such a fantastic team event in aid of two wonderful local charities."
