Structec have once again come to the aid of the Knowsley Food Bank, which is run locally by The Big Help Project. Company Directors Steve and Tracey Davies decided to run the Christmas fundraising event for third consecutive year, receiving staff donations which were matched ‘pound for pound’ by Structec itself, bringing the total raised to £420. In context, this contribution will buy around a quarter of a ton of food, which is enough to feed more than 12 families of 5 or more for 3 days.
Additionally, several members of the workforce chose to donate Christmas toys and gifts to young families who have found themselves struggling to cope during the festive period. Our office staff organised a drop point at Windsor House where bikes, soft toys and children’s puzzles could be collected.
